The Legal Department is responsible for the provision of independent legal advice and the management of all legal services rendered to and for Health Plus.  Legal provides legal advice to Health Plus on all state and federal regulatory compliance, corporate, and commercial business matters, transactional, patient care, employment, real estate and insurance matters.  Legal drafts and/or reviews all contracts with vendors, landlords, providers, and others.  It reviews all contracts related to general business, corporate, healthcare delivery, healthcare financing, employment, real estate, and all other contract matters.  Legal also advises management and other departments on all legal matters.  Legal assists in the creation and implementation of strategic plans, corporate goals and objectives, and implementation of all policies and procedures.  Legal directs all subrogation activity, and defends Health Plus in all litigation and threats of litigation.

The Legal Department also directs compliance activity and is responsible for the creation and enforcement of the Health Plus Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
