Governor George Pataki, along with several co-sponsors, including Health Plus, the largest provider of government-sponsored health insurance in the city and state, are hosting the two-day event, which includes free health screenings, free information, and one-on-one education with doctors and nurses.
"We are proud to sponsor this event, which provides life saving information to people passing through one of New York City's largest landmarks," says Ada Rodriguez, Chief Marketing Officer at Health Plus. "So many busy New Yorkers put off health concerns until it’s too late. This event makes getting a screening or asking a health question easy and accessible."
People who visit the health expo are able to take advantage of free health screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, asthma, cholesterol, and skin cancer. Nurse practitioners and physicians are available to provide stress analysis, as well as assess risk for stroke and depression.
