- September 28, 2005 — The Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (LIHCC) held its 17th annual Gala Awards Banquet this past Saturday.  Managed care organization Health Plus was one of the major sponsors and received an award for their dedication to the chamber.  Proceeds from the event went to the LIHCC Scholarship Fund.

“We are happy to support this organization,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus.  “LIHCC strongly believes that ensuring proper education for the Hispanic youth of Long Island is vital for the continued success of Latinos throughout the country.  This is very similar to our mission and our commitment to the Latino community we serve.”
