Health Plus Dedicates Evening to Women in Health

Manhattan, NY - March 24, 2006 — Since 1987, the third month of the year has been known nationally as “Women’s History Month.”  This year, in honor of Women’s History Month and of the various contributions made by prominent female figures in our society, managed care organization Health Plus paid its tribute to remarkable women, sponsoring the “Women in Medicine” celebration dinner that took place at the Winter Garden of Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. 

The event, organized by the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Economic Development and by New York State Assemblyman Adriano Espaillat, honored twelve female physicians for their dedication and accomplishments in their respective fields.

“There is nothing of greater importance today than the issue of health,” says Ada Rodriguez, Chief Marketing Officer of Health Plus, “which is why these women deserve recognition for their compassion and commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community.  I am pleased to be part of an event that supports the success of women and recognizes the value, to us all, of excellence in healthcare.”
