Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus, gave the opening remarks of the morning, praising the UJO for providing, amongst other great works, community access to invaluable social services and resources. Comparing the work the UJO does to that of Health Plus, Mr. Early focused on the importance of partnerships – like that of UJO of Williamsburg and Health Plus -- in achieving shared goals.
The managed care organization was further acknowledged at the breakfast when Community Relations Associate Jonathan Zalisky was presented with the coveted Community Tribute Award, on behalf of the hard work that Health Plus has shown in its commitment to the people of Williamsburg.
Established in 1966, the UJO of Williamsburg works to unite the numerous Orthodox Jewish communities of greater Williamsburg, and helps coordinate the utilization of housing and other social services. Health Plus has been partnering conscientiously with the UJO for several years now to help local residents receive much needed health coverage.
“It’s an honor to be a part of such an important day for the UJO,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus. “I admire this organization for all they have done to provide such important services for so many people. I look forward to continue working together in the future.”
