Working with the New York Parks Department, New York City Police and Fire Departments, as well as many local businesses, Health Plus offered children a true carnival experience, boasting hotdogs, snow-cones, cotton candy, prizes, face-painting, clowns, and even a super-slide.
Health Plus is famous for its summer events -- held in nearly every neighborhood throughout the five boroughs of New York City as well as Nassau County. Events like this one, which marked the beginning of the season, give the company a chance to interact with the communities it serves on a personal level.
“Events like this are so much fun,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus. “When our staff gets the chance to get together with local children, and the NYPD and FDNY come out, and everyone gets the chance to just be a kid for a day, it’s great! We’re looking forward to making this summer season one of the best ever, and who could ask for a better start to the festivities.”
Staten Island children share some big laughs as they play “Bump ‘n Crash” on the lawn of the Staten Island Children’s Museum during a carnival this past weekend.
