New York, New York - September 10, 2007 —  Yesterday, amid the late summer heat, thousands of youngsters descended upon St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan for the 2007 Children’s Festival in Manhattan. Once again, managed care organization Health Plus was there as sponsor of the event.

For those who braved the heat, the day was filled with games, rides, giveaways, tasty treats, and much more.  Many of the children in attendance got to pose for pictures with some of their favorite TV and movie characters, including Spiderman and the Sesame Street crew.  In addition, those who visited the Health Plus section were provided with school supplies to help them get prepared for the new school year.

“What a fun event,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus. “Uptown Manhattan is such a great community, and, in the past several years that we’ve been working closely with this neighborhood, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and big smiles.  It’s our pleasure to come out for festivals, like this one, and look forward to more in the future.”

Health Plus Marketing Representatives Ron Balshine and Monica Pineda pass out school supplies to young students during the Children’s Festival in Washington Heights.
