New York, New York - November 2, 2007 — This past Wednesday, on all Hollow’s eve, managed care organization Health Plus wrapped up a week’s worth of Halloween events that they hosted throughout the five boroughs and Nassau County. Teaming up with local community groups, Health Plus holds these family-oriented events each year to ensure that children have a safe and festive place to celebrate Halloween. Excited children who attended received a goody bag, the opportunity to have their face painted, meet a clown, and get their photo taken with a familiar Halloween ghoul.

“It’s not easy to be a child these days,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus, “especially when it comes to Halloween. There doesn’t really seem to be many places where our communities’ children can go to celebrate this holiday safely. At Health Plus, we’re very proud of our Halloween festivities. They offer a great time to the kids, and their parents can feel good about how their children spend Halloween.”
