Bronx, New York - May 2, 2008 — At a Gala celebration at elegant Marina Del Rey, in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx last night, Kathryn Soman, Director of Communications and External Affairs for managed care organization Health Plus, was honored by the Grand Parada Dominicana Del Bronx, as she was officially named “Madrina” (Godmother) of the 19th annual Bronx Dominican Parade, to be held on Sunday, July 20th.

Also honored that night were Health Plus staff members Chief Marketing Officer, Ada Rodriguez (whose award was accepted on her behalf by Health Plus Regional Marketing Director, Manuel Antonio Quezada) Marketing Manager for the Bronx, David Medina, and Kenesha Nelson, Special Events Manager.

However, the brightest stars of the night were also the youngest. Several young student of Dominican heritage received college scholarships courtesy of Health Plus -- a cherished tradition of this annual Gala.
