New York, New York - November 7, 2008 — This past week, on All Hallows’ Eve, managed care organization Health Plus hosted its annual Halloween events throughout the five boroughs and Nassau County.  Once again, teaming up with local community groups, schools, and the NYPD, Health Plus brought back all the favorite tricks and treats to ensure that children would have a safe and festive place to celebrate Halloween.  Each child who attended received a goody bag, the opportunity to have their face painted, meet a clown, and get their photo taken with a familiar Halloween ghoul.

“Ask any kid what the true meaning of Halloween is,” said Tom Early, Executive Director of Health Plus, “and they’ll probably tell you ‘candy’.  Parents, however, might have other priorities for making this popular holiday a success.  At Health Plus, we work to satisfy everyone, by making sure that there is a safe place to take costumed youngsters – that they look forward to free candy never hurts either.”

Costumed youngsters wait on line outside the NYPD’s 71st Precinct in Brooklyn for their chance to show off their creative threads.
