New York, NY - November 24, 2003 — The Bodega Association of the United States, a local development corporation that seeks to link the interests of independent inner city entrepreneurs, government and the not-for-profit sector in a partnership to promote job creation and long-term, sustainable economic and capital growth in New York City, held it's 5th Annual Benefit Banquet. This event, sponsored by Health Plus, the Medicaid managed care organization, recognized Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, among others, for all his accomplishments and his continued commitment to fighting crime.
